Academic sucess
Bay Area Academy understands how important it is to keep student-athletes aligned with NCAA guidelines. Our Academy is designed to prepare students for higher education by utilizing Polk State College and Colby College, two regionally accredited colleges. This assures our students will have access to diverse perspectives, resources, and opportunities, enriching the overall educational experience for students.
Time management is everything
Being a student-athlete at the collegiate level carries many hats. As a freshman, you will notice you are now living 3 different lifestyles in college: Full Time Athlete, Full Time Student, and a social life. These for all of us at some time or another can clash, where one or two could become more of a priority than the other. At Bay Area Academy, we are dedicated to helping our student-athletes balance their newly found lifestyle to best perform in and out of the classroom. Although our student-athletes are with us for a short time, our foundation belief is that when the game is done with us, the degree will carry you for a lifetime. We want that 4-year phone call announcing you are walking across the stage with your degree in hand.
Attendence
Student attendance in college is vital for academic success, personal development, and preparation for the professional world. By attending classes regularly, students foster relationships with professors and peers, which can be beneficial for networking, seeking academic support, and collaborating on projects.
focus
College is a full-time job as a student-athlete, so preparing great habits and establishing winning routines will propel you through life. To be successful, it takes a level of focus to balance and perform. We will give you the foundational tools needed to be successful at the next level.
SELF-decipline
Self-discipline is essential for setting and achieving goals. It helps student-athletes stay focused, motivated, and persistent, even when faced with challenges or distractions. In addition, this allows student-athletes to prioritize tasks, and avoid procrastination, leading to increased productivity and efficiency in various endeavors.
ask for help
Asking for help can boost students' confidence by providing reassurance that it's okay to seek assistance when needed.
